Definition
Benefits Checkpoints.
Defined dates and evidence used to test whether an intervention is delivering the intended value.
Definition
Benefits Checkpoints are agreed review points at which actual outcomes are compared with the benefits measures defined before delivery.
Why they are bounded
Benefits can take months to emerge. Checkpoints prevent open-ended promises by defining the measure, evidence, date and responsible party in advance.
Relationship to verification
They form part of Gate 4, Verify, and complement technical acceptance criteria.
